Anyone have one of these for their Birds? And if so do you like it?
Thanks, Paul.

I have one too. ...don't use it that often but nice to have when necessary. The fit is perfect and the best looking aftermarket mechanical cruise control imo.

Does the weight help lessen vibration in the bar? Also when it is engaged do you have to unscrew the lock to disengage ? Sorry for all the question but I tour quite a bit and I'm hoping it will lessen fatigue and cramping in my hand. I've ordered one today they're pretty pricey hope it is worth it.

"Yes" to answer both questions. You'll find it easy to operate and the quality is worth a few bucks more. I bought mine 6 years ago.

Yep,I have one also You don't have to lock it "tight" to work and you can still move the throttle. I believe they have two sizes, the larger one should help with the vibration. When I bought mine I had to order one for an Rocket 3.

Yeah they have one for the '10-'14 bird now. But I don't think they're all that much different. The Thunderbird ones are all heavy. I saw one that didn't say which bike it was for on E-bay for like $35. I paid $160 including shipping from the manufacturer. I guess I paid $125 for the loctite.

They are much the same as Kaoko unit.

I have had both. IMO, The best one on the market is the Breakaway Cruise Control ( bit more expensive but) it is a lot easier to set and release than the Throttlemiester or the Kaoko, The breakaway also has the break cancellation feature. it is covered on Page 3 in the How to section on this forum,

IMO the Breakaway Cruise Control is ugly as a hat full of assholes and takes up too much room but that's just my opinion

Well Gary the only one I could find was an install for a sport bike. But I think the principle would be the same for any bike.

Mine should be here any day now. Well see how hard it is to install for the mechanically challenged. I've got about 3 months before my first trip. That should give me enough time to figure it out.

The left side is a no-brainer, just keep a small gap between the grip to help dampen the vibrations. The right side just keep adjusting with the washers for proper function. I also had to get longer stainless bolts from the local hardware store.

Hi AZcactus, would you explain how you fitted it and exactly what you ordered, ie part numbers that would be very helpful if you could. Thanks

Gary, the installation was 6 years ago but I remember simply exchanging the stock bar ends for the "standard" ATT-3 kit. ...maybe request (email) PDF instructions from Throttlemeister Link
